Sea Breeze Erosion Problem
The materials used in the dome can well resist the erosion of sea breeze.
The frame is Q235 steel. Its anti-corrosion ability is relatively limited in a salty and humid environment such as sea breeze. But Glitzcamp adopts hot-dip galvanizing. The steel is immersed in high-temperature molten zinc liquid to form a tightly adherent zinc-iron alloy coating on the surface of the steel. This coating can play an effective shielding role. Even if the coating is damaged, the cathodic protection effect of the zinc layer continues to protect the steel underneath from corrosion.
The outer cloth is made of PVC tarpaulin. PVC is a highly stable polymer that makes it resistant to erosion by the most acidic and alkaline substances, including salt in seawater. The surface of Glitzcamp’s PVC tarpaulin is specially treated to enhance its ability to resist ultraviolet radiation and corrosion.
