Case Background
How to define “best mountain getaways”? Get the answer at Z Hotel. Z·Hotel is located in Anlong County, Qianxinan, Guizhou Province, a place often called the “Kingdom of Karst.” Guizhou is famous for its towering peaks, stunning rock formations, and hidden caves carved by nature. The area is full of breathtaking waterfalls, winding rivers, and lush forests, making it a top destination for mountain getaways. It offers incredible beauty and great value for scientific exploration and outdoor adventures.
The resort features nearly 30 zones for outdoor sports and recreational activities. It also includes a top-notch visitor center, vacation hotels, and scenic viewing platforms. Z·Hotel offers three unique accommodation styles: Z·Cliff Hotel, Z·Luxury Tent Hotel, and Z·Forest Courtyard Hotel. Among them, the Z·Luxury Tent Hotel stands out with five stunning twin-peak tents, designed and built by Glitzcamp. These luxurious tents provide a cozy and immersive experience for anyone seeking the ultimate mountain getaway.
How Luxury Tents Fit into Mountain Getaways?
Traditional mountain getaway accommodations are usually built with wood, brick, or concrete for stability and durability. In contrast, tents stand out as a unique option. Their lightweight and flexible design plays a key role in creating an unforgettable mountain retreat experience:
Market Attractiveness
Experiential travel is becoming more popular these days. Luxury tents bring an element of adventure and romance, offering guests a break from the city and sparking their sense of exploration. These tents provide a unique accommodation experience that appeals to those seeking something different.
Before launching the Z·Luxury Tent Hotel series, the client already had the traditional concrete-built Z·Cliff Hotel and the wood-structured Z·Forest Courtyard Hotel. The introduction of Z·Luxury Tent Hotel attracted a broader range of customers, boosting the hotel’s overall market appeal and competitiveness.
Diverse Landscape Experience
Glitzcamp’s luxury peak tents are highly adaptable and can fit glass walls and large glass doors. This provides up to a 360-degree view, enhancing the indoor experience for guests. Even with a smaller view area, it still works well. The lightweight structure of the luxury tents allows for flexible placement, so the view can be positioned in the best spots, such as valleys, lakesides, or forests, creating luxury mountain getaways.
Adapt to Extreme Terrain
Building traditional structures on challenging terrain can be difficult. However, luxury tents with modular designs handle uneven landscapes with ease. All you need is to build an elevated platform and adjust the foundation pillars to the same height before starting the installation. The modular design breaks the tent into smaller parts, making it easy to transport to the site and avoiding issues where large construction equipment can’t access the area.
Combining High-End & Comfort
The luxury tents feature a pillar-free design, offering spacious interiors and flexible layout options. Inside the tents at Z·Luxury Tent Hotel, guests will find comfortable beds, stylish furniture, and private bathrooms with all the amenities. Guests can enjoy mountain getaways without sacrificing the comfort and convenience of home.
The Best Value for Money
The luxury peak tents built by Glitzcamp are more cost-effective than traditional accommodation structures. Glitzcamp’s luxury tents use 850gsm PVC fabric on the outside and 435gsm canvas on the inside as the structural cover. The frame is made of Q235 Steel. PVC fabric is waterproof, moisture-proof, mildew-proof, UV-proof, tear-resistant and fire-proof. Canvas fabric is moisture-proof and mildew-proof. The steel frame is powder-coated or galvanized to prevent rust. Compared with traditional reinforced concrete or wooden structure buildings, the materials used in luxury tents are lighter and the transportation and installation costs are lower. The need and cost of long-term maintenance are also relatively low.
Challenges
When designing the tent, the client mentioned to Glitzcamp that Anlong County has a lot of wind and rain. The tent is planned to be located at the edge of the canyon and will face strong winds. In order to strengthen the tent’s ability to resist strong winds, we added steel cable and ground anchors to help disperse the pressure on the tent and make it stronger. In addition, in order to provide a longer-lasting and comfortable living environment, we designed a moisture-proof mat inside the tent to further prevent external moisture from entering the tent.
Final Words
Soon after the tents were set up and the interiors were decorated, Z·Luxury Tent Hotel opened to tourists. Here, during the day, guests can enjoy the welcoming ceremony of the local ethnic group, and experience handicraft activities such as making glutinous rice cakes and traditional tie-dyeing. Or kayak on the dark green river to experience Guizhou’s charming mountains and waters. Or receive via ferrata training and try via Ferrata climbing. In the evening, guests can enjoy a warm bonfire party with other guests accompanied by food and wine. The rich holiday activities and diverse and distinctive holiday accommodations here have jointly created romantic mountain getaways experience in Guizhou.
