Case Background: Glamping in Japanese

The customer wants to build a beach tent resort. Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan is surrounded by a beautiful blue sea. The climate is warm, with a large temperature difference between winter and summer. It is common to see high temperatures above 35℃ in midsummer, and the high temperature often lasts until late at night. In contrast, when winter comes, the lowest temperature often drops below zero. There are frost-free areas in some coastal areas, with warm winters and a relatively cool marine climate in summer. In front of the Uto Peninsula in the southwest are the Amakusa Islands, surrounded by mountains on three sides and 63% of the land is covered by forests. In the northeast is Mount Aso, which has a world-class caldera.
The long coastline, clear water and spectacular forests provide a beautiful backdrop for the campsite. Kami-Amakusa City has historical sites, traditional festivals and a unique folk culture, which adds cultural depth to the camping experience. It has magnificent natural scenery, a rich cultural heritage and a unique geographical location. This is why customers choose to build a luxurious beach tent resort here.

Domes Offer a Luxury Experience

Dome played a very important role when the client built a tent in the beach, integrating green, economic and aesthetic design concepts.

Green and Environmentally Friendly

Dome uses high-strength, lightweight aluminum or steel as its frame. Metal can be recycled after its service life, reducing the impact on the environment. The client also selected PVC tarpaulin as the cover. Its translucent design uses natural light to reduce energy consumption. The service life of metal is 10-20 years, and the service life of PVC tarpaulin is 2-8 years. The longer service life reduces the waste of resources. Therefore, beach dome tents reduce waste generation and reflect Glitzcamp’s responsible attitude towards the environment.

Low Cost

Compared with the complex process of traditional construction, beach dome tents significantly reduce the initial investment. The modular design allows the tent to be set up in a shorter time, reducing construction time. At the same time, high-quality materials do not require frequent maintenance, reducing maintenance costs. In addition, beach tents do not require a foundation, which can also save money. Even without a foundation, it can maintain stability and safety. Therefore, a dome is an economical and efficient accommodation option for the seaside.

Translucent Design

The translucent design of the beach tent allows natural light and scenery to penetrate, creating a visual connection between indoors and outdoors. When you wake up in bed, you can directly face the magnificent sea view. With the change of sunrise, sunset and weather, different light and shadow effects will be presented. When needed, blackout curtains can be used to protect privacy. It provides a space that is both private and open. So domes are the best tents for beach.

Beach Tent Resorts Building Challenges

The construction of tents for the beach faces unique challenges, including uneven ground, erosion from the sea wind, and the test of severe weather. Glitzcamp overcomes these challenges to create the best tents for the beach for customers.

Uneven Ground

It is difficult to set up a tent directly on the uneven sand or grass on the beach. If you set up the beach tent directly on the ground, it may be soaked by water. We chose to build a deck, which is made of special composite materials. It provides a dry and flat placement surface for the beach tent, elevating the tent. It also protects the bottom of the tent from moisture or corrosion. At the same time, it protects the vegetation to the greatest extent.

Sea Breeze Erosion

The high salt content, strong ultraviolet rays and corrosive sea breeze in the seaside environment put higher demands on the durability of tent materials. They will corrode the tent and reduce the service life of the tent. We use high-quality steel and PVC tarpaulin to ensure the long-term use of the tent.
We use Q235 steel, which is a commonly used low-carbon structural steel. The surface treatment is electroplating + powder spraying or hot-dip galvanizing. Both treatment methods can effectively isolate oxygen and moisture in the air and prevent oxidation and corrosion of Q235 steel. Electroplating + powder spraying is suitable for occasions that require good decorative effects and medium anti-corrosion requirements, while hot-dip galvanizing performs better in environments that require long-term, high-strength anti-corrosion protection. So you can choose according to specific needs. If you want to build a best beach tents, Glitzcamp recommends choosing Q235 steel treated with hot-dip galvanizing.
PVC tarpaulins have excellent waterproof properties and can effectively prevent water penetration. Compared with other plastic materials, PVC has better resistance to salt in seawater, which can reduce corrosion and degradation. However, when using PVC tarpaulins at the seaside, you should clean them regularly to remove salt and impurities on the surface to avoid material damage caused by long-term deposition. The transparent parts that are prone to yellowing are designed to be split for easy replacement.

Bad Weather

At the seaside in Japan, you also need to consider sea breezes and earthquakes. The dome structure has a unique geometric shape and evenly distributes the force, which can effectively disperse the wind force. Each layer is a regular triangular structure with horizontal lines. It can withstand large loads and vibrations and has high seismic resistance. Therefore, it is the right choice to choose a dome structure.

Summary

Glitzcamp built the best beach tent resort for the client in Japan, solving the problems of terrain, sea breeze erosion and weather. It provides tourists with a safe and comfortable accommodation environment. The treatment of every detail reflects respect for the natural environment and the emphasis on the tourist experience.
