Lotus Mountain Ecological Camp is beautifully situated by the mountains and water, surrounded by rich tourist resources. The terrain is made up of low hills and alluvial plains, offering stunning pastoral views. From late July to mid-October, the area is covered in blooming flowers, creating a breathtaking sea of blossoms. To further develop the campsite economy, Lotus Mountain Ecological Camp embraces a “Camping +” model, blending nature exploration, stargazing, and outdoor sports to offer a variety of camping services and products. More Comfortable Accommodation
The tent house for camping offers much more space than the traditional tent. For our collaboration with Lotus Mountain Ecological Camp, the tents range from 28 to 42 square meters in size. Some tents, like our dome tents, even feature a pillar-free design, creating an open space with no internal supports. This spacious interior of tent house camping can fit more camping gear or be furnished with luxury items to create a hotel-like experience inside the tent.
More Durable & Low Maintenance
The frames of our camping tent houses are made from high-quality, rust-resistant steel and aluminum. The exterior uses PVC fabric that is waterproof, UV-resistant, mold-resistant, and fireproof. The transparent PVC fabric is designed as a separate section, making it easier to replace without swapping out the entire tarpaulin. The quality materials and precise design extend the lifespan of the tents and reduce maintenance needs. Even with heavy use, the frames last 10-15 years, while the tent fabric lasts 5-8 years.
More Flexible Building Structure
Our camping tent houses are modular, making them easier to set up compared to traditional structures. They require less on-site work, saving time and labor. The tents are also easy to assemble and take down, allowing for flexible placement depending on changing needs, such as seasonal tourism demands. They can be reused multiple times.
More Versatile Applications
As “tent house,” the big tent house for camping can serve many purposes. Besides being used for accommodation, our dome tents can also function as restaurants, event spaces, and more. Our dome tents can be as large as 50 meters (164 feet) in diameter, offering 1963 square meters (21,107 square feet) of space, which can hold up to 1,900 people. For our collaboration with Lotus Mountain Ecological Camp, we provided a 22-meter dome tent to serve as a restaurant for high-volume guest dining.
Challenges
Although camping tent houses are an ideal choice to enhance high-end accommodation services at campsites, Glitzcamp faced some challenges when setting up tents in the beautiful flower fields of Lotus Mountain Ecological Camp:
Protecting the Environment and Strengthening the Foundation
To avoid damaging the soil and vegetation, Glitzcamp worked closely with Lotus Mountain Ecological Camp to plan the tent setup carefully. We decided to place the tents at the edge of the flower fields and used staked foundations and elevated platforms to give the tents a stable base, minimizing environmental impact.
Additionally, since camping tent houses are larger than regular tents, they require more support. The soil in the flower fields is loose, so to improve the foundation’s load-bearing capacity, we widened the support bases and designed stronger platforms to distribute the pressure and ensure the tents stay stable.
Adapting to the Local Climate
Lotus Mountain Ecological Camp is located in a temperate continental monsoon climate, with strong winds in the spring and winter, and heavy rainfall in the summer. Building tents in such an open flower field requires special attention to wind resistance and moisture protection.
Glitzcamp’s camping tent houses are made from high-quality steel and aluminum alloys, which can withstand winds of up to 100-120 km/h. To improve stability, we designed steel cable guy lines to secure the tents and enhance their wind resistance. Additionally, we added moisture-resistant ground mats to prevent ground moisture from seeping into the tents.
Final Words
After Glitzcamp’s camping tent houses were set up, Lotus Mountain Ecological Camp hosted its first-ever Flower Sea Exhibition Festival. The event focused on “leisure, team-building, entertainment, and relaxation,” aiming to offer an eco-tourism experience. It featured a mix of activities, including flower viewing, relaxation, outdoor adventures, and luxury camping accommodations, catering to a variety of guests. On the opening day, the event attracted over 20,000 visitors.
